Energy efficient, quiet, simple: Blue Hydraulics for Machine Tools

Variable-speed pump drives by Rexroth

Saving up to 70% of energy

Rexroth is breaking new ground when it comes to combining hydraulics and electronics. In the pressure generation, the use of innovative speed-variable pump drives, so-called Rexroth Blue Hydraulic Drives, offers great potential for saving energy costs and reducing noise as well as for the considerable reduction of the hydraulic power loss.

In cycle breaks as well as in normal and part-load operation, they reduce the speed of the electric motor and thus the power consumption thanks to intelligent frequency converters. The software considers the specific specialties of the fluid technology.

With standard motors and servo motors, you can save 40 to 70 energy percent as compared to conventional power units. Simultaneously, they reduce the average noise emission by 10 to 20 dB (A).

The pre-parameterized drives reduce the commissioning efforts and via open interfaces, can be seamlessly integrated into decentralized automation structures.

With the 4EE levers, Efficient Components, Energy Recovery, Energy on Demand as well as Energy System Design, Rexroth systemizes the current progress for higher energy efficiency in automation and system engineering.
