Desktop Factory (DTF)

Desktop Factory (DTF) is a fully developed, multi-purpose production platform. A solid basis upon which system houses as well as system integrators can build during plant manufacturing. The system is based on standardized basic frames and processing modules and plug-in units in a compact format. Each plug-in unit is for one operation. According to the whole processing process, several plug-in units can be flexibly lined-up in the frames.
The basic module consists of:
- basic frame
- protective coating
- plug-in units 220 and 440 mm wide
- electric-pneumatic basic equipment
The variants as well as the equipment are adapted to the customer’s requirements. In order to further increase flexibility, the module construction kit is constantly extended.
The DTF solution is mainly designed for products of a weight of up to 500 grams. This includes small-size products such as plugs or thermostats of the fields of automotive, electronics and electric engineering, medical engineering as well as white goods.
Through consistent standardizing and complexity reduction, investment costs can be reduced up to 15% compared to conventional concepts. Even more considerable are the savings in indirect costs. Thus, energy consumption can be reduced up to 20%, space requirements even up to 75% compared to conventional concepts. Reuseability of the components results in further cost benefits and high security of investment.
This modern and adaptive production system guarantees a fast and simple adaptation to changes in the number of pieces or the product. Furthermore, it gives the option of investing gradually. The degree of automation can also be fixed in a simple manner and be adapted arbitrarily. Thus, in addition to partially and fully-automated lines, also manual work places can be realized easily.
