Solution approaches for TIER 4 final using downsizing
Rexroth is developing an innovative downsizing concept which significantly increases the efficiency of the hydraulics and uses the available energy with even greater efficiency. This makes it possible to maintain the machine performance while reducing the installed drive power. Of special interest here is the magic 56 kW limit. In the USA (starting 2014) and the EU (starting 2015) there will be notably stricter emissions laws above this limit which require comprehensive exhaust gas treatment strategies.
