Water in oil causes serious damage to hydraulic and lubricating oil systems. In particular, water in free form is a serious contaminant in lubricating oil systems and results in corrosion on machine elements, especially during standstill periods. It is, therefore, necessary to keep the water content in lubricating oil systems as low as possible.
The WGM and WGMS online water-content measuring devices enable fast and reliable, online monitoring of the water activity in hydraulic and lubricating oils. In addition, the function of the water-drainage systems can be monitored.
