We expect an assignment of at least 3 months, but we advise a period of 4-6 months to recognize structures and processes and to handle projects on your own authority.
It is also possible that you perform a short-time internship of 4 to 12 weeks

> What time in advance should I apply for an internship?
We recommend applying at least 3 months before the internship starts. Short-term applications are maybe successful if specialist departments have an unexpected requirement. You will find current vacancies in our job market.

> Can I expect compensation during my internship?
The payment depends on your operating range, the location and the type of the internship. Apart from the payment, we support you in the room hunting and you will get a grant for the lease rental charges. If you pass your internship close to your domicile, we alternatively repay travelling expenses.

> What qualifications are necessary for the internship?
Good performances in school and studies as well as recognisable motivation are the general requirements for an internship at Rexroth. However, the specific requirements vary from location to location. Our local contact persons are glad to help you if you have further questions.

> How are the interns chosen at Rexroth?
Interns are chosen on the basis of their application documents as well as through a personal interview with the specialist and the human resources department.

> Does Rexroth also offer internships abroad?
As a global player, Bosch Rexroth is located worldwide. You can perform an internship with commercial, technical or IT orientation depending on the subjects of your studies and current projects. You should at least plan 5 months in order to get a knowledgeable insight into our company.

> Does Rexroth also suggest own topics for diploma theses?
You can find all information about current topics for diploma theses and their contact persons in our job market. However, we are also pleased about your own suggestions.

> Can I also apply for a diploma thesis proactively?
Initiative and new ideas are always welcome! Please contact our local human resources departments with your concrete suggestions. They prove the chance of placing the topic for the diploma thesis together with the specialist departments and if necessary they consult you about it.

> What will my working day at Rexroth look like while I write my diploma thesis?
You are employed as a freelancer while you write your diploma thesis at Rexroth. This means that you can organise your working time flexibly in coordination with your specialist department. By this, you have enough time for professional researches, also outside of the company.

> In what way does Rexroth support me in research works?
You will get access to all resources which are necessary to write your diploma thesis. Furthermore, you will be integrated in all actions, e.g. cooperation with intern and extern positions, lectures, business trips, etc.

> What constitutes a full set of application documents?
An application sent by email or mail should include the following documents:
- Individual application letter including specific employment wishes: You should explain why you are interested in the advertised post. Please show us why you meet the searched profile. Write a letter that is individually made for Rexroth. This will considerably improve your chances.
- Résumé: You show us all important points of your current career at a glance with your complete résumé in tabular form. Gaps should briefly be explicated.
- Copy of your high school completion report
- Copy of your intermediate diploma certificate (if available)
- Copy of your current overview of marks
- References from internships and activities
- Proof of other qualifications

Our job market provides the opportunity to inform you about the current open positions. You can also apply proactively if you could not find a fitting post there. You will surely discover something interesting in our overview of the fields of application for interns.

> Should I send my application to the headquarters of Bosch Rexroth or directly to the respective location?
There are special contacts at every location to whom you can send your application directly and who are at your disposal for questions. > Do we prefer an application sent by e-mail or as hard copy?
We accept both forms of application and the type you choose has no influence on our selection criteria. The important thing is that the application, whether it is sent on paper or electronically, is completed in as much detail as possible. This is the only way for us to gain an accurate impression of you. If you apply by e-mail, please send all your documents combined in a single PDF document. Please do not send files larger than 4 MB.

> How can I see if the vacancies in the job market are still up to date?
Open positions are updated and published every day at Bosch Rexroth. That means that we still search committed employees for the positions which you can find in our job market.

> What chances are there for short applications?
With regard to applications: it’s better to make them complete and meaningful than too short. Therefore, be sure to send us all your application documents together. This will considerably improve your chances.

> What is the procedure after I have sent my application to you?
If your profile meets the requirements of a currently vacant position, you will be invited to a personal meeting with one of our responsible recruiters and a representative from the corresponding function. Alternatively, we hold regular applicant days for our junior managers programs.
Please understand that it takes some time to evaluate your suitability comprehensively. You could be assured that we aim to handle your application as quickly as possible.

> If I’m rejected, will I receive a detailed feedback?
We are pleased about every application, but unfortunately we must also reject some applicants. For example, we will have to reject your application if your profile does not exactly meet the requirements for the vacant position, or if we have decided to hire another applicant. We can only provide detailed feedback if we have met you in the course of a personal interview.
