Tier 4 Emissions Fundamentals – FREE Seminar
System Implications and Solutions
|
 |
New EPA Tier 4 emissions standards scheduled for 2010 will significantly alter the performance and power output curve of diesel-powered hydraulic systems. This free seminar, presented by experts from Bosch Rexroth Canada and Bosch Rexroth AG, will provide inside details on how leading diesel engine designers are preparing their systems to comply with Tier 4 standards, and what challenges these changes will present to hydraulics systems engineers.

How can understanding Tier 4 Emissions Standards help you?

From skid steer loaders to large scale mining equipment, diesel engines provide the power for the variety of hydraulic functions found on these machines. Tier 4 emission regulations, a result of global "green" initiatives, has set an emission standard by which all diesel engines must meet. Understanding their impact on the engines, and ultimately the hydraulic performance of the machines, is critical to machine designers, mobile machinery OEM's and hydraulic equipment suppliers in order to satisfy the requirements for the environment as well as their customers. Understanding the impact on the diesel is one thing, understand how it affects your machine is another. In this seminar Bosch Rexroth hydraulic experts will offer insight on these impacts, their affects, and electro-hydraulic solutions being developed to optimize machine performance.

Steve Apps
Mobile Hydraulics Product Manager
Bosch Rexroth Canada

Steve has worked for Bosch Rexroth since 1981, originally concentrating on industrial hydraulics systems, then later specializing in mobile hydraulics. In his current position since 1994, he helps drive mobile hydraulics applications and product support, and has given numerous mobile hydraulics presentations in North America and Europe. One of his key priorities is to raise awareness of drive and control solutions for mobile machinery, particularly in the context of today’s “green” initiatives such as the pending Tier 4 emission regulations.
