eLINE Profiled Rail systems offer smooth performance with substantial energy savings - ATX West 2010

eLINE Profiled Rail Systems offer up to 60% weight reductions versus traditional linear guides and help to lower energy costs
The eLINE Ball Rail and Cam Roller guides from Rexroth set new standards for performance and energy savings with lightweight aluminum design.

(Charlotte, NC – www.boschrexroth-us.com) Rexroth’s eLINE Ball Rail and Cam Roller linear guide systems offer exceptional performance in a lightweight design, yielding noticeable energy savings in machine performance. The eLINE guides fit perfectly as representative products from Rexroth’s 4EE Initiative—our corporate commitment to energy-efficiency and sustainable manufacturing. (4EE = For Energy Efficiency).

The eLINE Ball Rail system and its Cam Roller cousin are ideal for simpler handling and assembly tasks and light-duty machines that require more precise guidance and control than can be achieved with bushings and shafts. Their aluminum design, coupled with hardened antifriction steel running surfaces, allows for low weight, high corrosion resistance, compact design and equal load capacity in all four directions. The use of lighter weight components reduces the weight of profiled rail systems by up to 60% in applications that are appropriate for eLINE, contributing to improved energy efficiency in the final system.

Additionally, due to the flexibility of the aluminum alloy, eLINE Ball Rail® and Cam Roller Systems can easily handle minor mounting surface deviations—evening out roughness or small parallelism discrepancies between rails. This means substantial savings in time and money during preparation of the machine base and assembly of the overall system.

Both styles of eLINE linear guides are available in sizes 15, 20, and 25 with single piece rail lengths up to 4000mm. Users can also choose between accuracy classes N and E, with or without pre-load. With the new eLINE Ball Rail® and Cam Roller Systems, many applications will now be more economical and feasible for industries that once had to do without such a system for cost reasons. Thanks to their low inertia, low friction and low noise, they also provide excellent ergonomics in manual handling systems. With the new cam roller runner blocks, Rexroth now offers a unique and economically-priced family of eLINE products which includes both styles of runner blocks, end seals and front lube units on standardized rails.
