Gas turbines can utilize two fuel systems for natural gas or fuel oil. Rexroth hydraulic controls and cylinders provide the safety and fuel systems control for both fuel systems. These can include:
- Power unit
- Fuel control systems (hydraulic control actuators and fuel valves)
- Jacking oil systems
- Lube oil skid
Steam turbines must have the entire thermal power of the turbine controlled by safety and control equipment. Rexroth steam valves are designed to handle pressures and temperatures many times higher than that of gas turbines. And Rexroth hydraulic cylinders must be rated for a higher power demand and be equipped with larger diameters and spring packages. Hydraulic system elements include:
- Hydraulic power unit
- Hydraulic actuators for power control
- Hydraulic control actuator for by-pass stations
- Butterfly valves
- Oil supply units for by-pass stations
- Lube oil skid
