Hydrostatic Regenerative Braking System HRB
The HRB stores a vehicle’s kinetic energy, which otherwise would be lost through the mechanical brakes. This energy is available at any later time for driving the vehicle, thus reducing the primary energy use.

Hydrostatic Fan Drives
Rexroth system solutions with axial piston pumps, external gear motors, polymer and steel tanks, valve technology, sensors and mobile electronics provide exactly the cooling output needed, regardless of the speed of the combustion engine, and even reduce fuel consumption by up to five percent.

Hydromechanical Variable Transmission HVT
HVT combines the mechanical and hydrostatic travel drive to result in the best characteristics of both technologies. With HVT Rexroth offers a convenient power split transmission for mobile work equipment, and by integrating the travel and working hydraulics provides even greater potential for this advanced technology.

Functional Modules

DHC - Diesel Hydraulic Control
As a result of intelligent networking of hydraulics and diesel engine control maintains the dynamic response even for Tier 4 final engines and enables fuel-saving reduction in diesel engine speeds without sacrificing overall performance.

Energy-Efficient Excavator Controls EPC and VBO
Electronic Positive Control and Virtual Bleed Off make energy savings in the 2-digit percent range possible. They convert significantly more energy into efficient mechanical work. Optimal torque demand, especially on TIER 4 diesel engines is possible.

HFW - Hydraulic Fly Wheel
HFW stores unused and excess energy and efficiently makes it available again on demand just where it is needed. HFW can be used for power smoothing, downsizing the diesel engine or as a
boost function.

HLB - High Level Braking
HLB shorten the brake distance, thereby ensuring optimal drive stability and preventing over-revving of the diesel engine. A patented algorithm exploits the zero swivel capability of the Rexroth hydraulic motors.

SOF - Shift On Fly
SOF enables starting off without acceleration force compromises and, with the second drive range the desired maximum speed can be achieved. This cost-effective Shift on Fly transmission and hydraulics concept also features compact design for optimal space utilization in mobile machines.

High Efficiency Traction Control
High Efficiency Traction Control is a very simple and energy-efficient traction control concept for small construction and agricultural machinery and municipal vehicles.

Downsizing
The Rexroth downsizing concept ensures increased efficiency in the entire system to minimize emissions, fuel consumption and space requirements using smaller engines – all without sacrificing the overall performance capability of the machine.
