With the new IndraDrive generation of drive units from Rexroth, the pioneer in the integration of safety engineering in drive systems, you can be sure of being on the safe side. We have incorporated diverse safety functions directly in the drive units – without any tiresome diversions via the control systems. This not only improves reliability, it also eliminates the need for additional monitoring components and associated installation efforts in the process. Rexroth IndraDrive – PROFIsafe controls drives safety Rexroth has developed a further stage of innovation of its successful IndraDrive drive system with control of the safety functions by PROFIsafe. Rexroth's safety system, according to EN945-1 / Category 3 integrated in the drive with conventional wiring has achieved great success in the market since April 2003. 80% of all applications equipped with IndraDrive make use of this safety system. Conventional parallel wiring of the safety signals is not required when the safety functions are supported by PROFIsafe. These signals are transmitted through PROFIBUS in an additional, specially protected telegram. Currently, Rexroth is the only manufacturer able to offer various safety functions integrated in the drive via PROFIsafe.
