Ophthonix, Inc., a manufacturer of high-end custom eyeglasses, worked with systems integrator Eagle Technologies to create a new, automated pull-through production facility, built around Rexroth’s VarioFlow flexible chain conveyor system. In the process, they implemented multiple lean principles to ensure fast production, top-notch product quality and efficient use of facility space.

John is Vice President, Operations, for Ophthonix, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for leading development of all aspects of operations, materials, service, facilities, and supply chain for the business unit, including support for new product and process development, product validation, lens and testing. John has a B.Sc. in Manufacturing Engineering from Utah State University and is a graduate of the General Electric Manufacturing Management Program.

Earle Cooper is a Project Manager for Eagle Technologies Group located in Bridgman, MI. Eagle is a turnkey systems integrator supplying custom automation and material handling systems to the Automotive, Medical, and Consumer Goods Industries. Earle has been involved in the automation business since graduating from Lehigh University with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering in 1983.
