Marine
Marine We pioneered the concept of pneumatic marine propulsion controls in the early 1940's to provide faster, more responsive and more accurate control of the direct reversing diesel engines that were so predominant at that time. Many things have changed in this industry since those early beginnings, but we continue at the helm to provide controls to fit the bill.
Since our innovative beginning, we have developed unequalled experience in the application of engine and gear controls for a broad spectrum of commercial, military and private craft of all descriptions.

Our pneumatic systems and components include pressure and directional control valves, control panels, logic valves and systems, actuators, cylinders, shuttle valves, check valves, FRL's, and various other devices. These controls are typically used for bridge, engine room, and remote station control, and for the various interlocking and station transfer requirements between these stations. They can be used for throttle and reverse gear controls for the primary propulsion engines or bow thrusters on work boats, push boats, tugs, pleasure boats, yachts, patrol boats, ferries, or ships. They can also be used for control of loading cranes, winches, doors and various other on-board equipment that might utilize pneumatic control.

Our Heavy-Duty pneumatic controls are our more traditional valves and actuators that feature heavier construction, more precise control, and higher flow capability.

In addition to our traditional pneumatic product offering, we also provide state-of-the-art electronic controls with features ranging from microprocessor controlled sequencing of operations, to a full CAN-bus serial communication network of controls flexibility for simple system expansion and full self-diagnostic capability.

Our Marex SB controls (for "Small Boats") offer lightweight/low cost microprocessor based electronic control capability for small vessels with up to four control stations. The control heads are of plastic construction, and the electronics are housed in a stamped steel enclosure.

Our Mini-Marex products feature low cost microprocessor based control also, but feature more metallic construction in the control heads, a cast aluminum electronic enclosure with sealed, pre-wired, multi-pin connectors on both the control heads and the electronic enclosure.

The Marex OS controls are our "Open System", CAN-bus controls that feature full programmability of all time delays, speed curves, etc., serial communication among all components (for easier future expansion without need for total system re-wiring), full fault diagnostics, etc.

The well-proven Marex OS control unit has been further developed: MPC (Marine Propulsion Control), the backbone of Marex OS II , is a sophisticated central processing unit with 16-bit processor, combined with in- and outputs.
At a lower system price, Marex OS II minimum configurations offer more functions than comparable Mini-Marex applications. By this, they are especially competitive in the low-cost range - also for work boats.
