Browser Settings
The following technology is recommended for using this portal:

Hardware Requirements

Minimum
- 500 MHz CPU
- 256 MB RAM
- Screen settings: 1024 X 768 pixel resolution; 256 colors

Recommended
- 700 MHz CPU
- 256 MB RAM
- Screen settings: 1024 X 768 pixel resolution; True color

Software Requirements

Minimum
- Windows 2000 or Windows XP
- Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 and higher

Recommended
- Windows 2000 or Windows XP with latest service pack
- Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 with cumulative patch 818529 and higher
- To review documents in PDF format you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader
- To review audio or video files you will need Windows Media Player or Real Player

The default Browser settings of Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 and higher work fine to access the portal. To generate the best possible experience we recommend the following settings. You might check the following settings yourself or contact your system administrator to help change them for you.

Language Select

1. Please go to the Windows Start menu and choose Settings -> Control Panel -> Internet Options

2.If you have other languages set up for your Browser besides English/Dutch/Norwegian, please click on Languages and move English or Dutch or Norwegian up to the top priority.
Security Settings

3. In the Security tab next to the General tab the security level of the Internet zone should not be set to “High”. If you are using custom settings please check your settings according to step A and B otherwise proceed to step 4. If display of the custom level is disabled contact your system administrator.

  • Step A: Please scroll down and check the following options: Active scripting and Scripting of Java applets should be enabled.
  • Step B: Stored cookies and per-session cookies have to be enabled or at least allowed after a prompt. File downloads should be allowed.
    • For Internet Explorer 5.5 you will also find these settings in the Security Settings window. Please adjust them according to the following picture and then proceed with step 5.
    • For Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher you can check that File download is enabled and check the cookie settings according to step 4.

4. For Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher please choose the Privacy tab and click on Edit.

To ensure that cookies are allowed for the portal and the related applications, click on Edit and enter “www.boschrexroth.com” and click on Allow:

Please select the tab Privacy and then the tab Advance as seen below in the screen

Please see that under the tab Advance no setting are done for the cookies, please uncheck the setting under cookies.



Advanced Settings
------------------------
5.Please set the HTTP 1.1 protocol in the Advanced section of the Internet options according to the picture, scrolling down to HTTP settings. HTTP 1.1 through proxy connection might not part of the IE default settings but necessary for the Internet Sales application.

6.Make sure that for option "Browsing" the setting "Show friendly HTTP error messages" is not selected.
General Settings

7.To enable adequate use of your Browser’s cache and make sure that you do not get outdated information displayed, we recommend to check for newer versions of stored pages “Every time you start Internet Explorer” or “Automatically”. Do not select “Every visit to the page”. You can set this option in the General tab -> Settings for Temporary Internet files.

8.Please confirm all your settings by clicking OK at the respective dialog boxes. Now your Browser should be configured correctly for HTTP 1.1, caching, cookies and script language. You might have to verify Proxy settings with your local system administrator to allow connecting to the Internet.

9. Please choose the Tab General and press the Buttons Delete cookies and Delete files.
