Automation toolkit: ctrlX AUTOMATION
ctrlX AUTOMATION surmounts the classic boundaries between machine controls, the IT world and the Internet of Things. With a Linux real-time operating system, consistently open standards, app programming technology, web-based engineering and a comprehensive IoT connection, ctrlX AUTOMATION reduces components and engineering costs by 30 to 50%.
The toolkit provides all the necessary components for complete automation solutions – from drives and motors, to controls and I/Os, to motion and PLC and IoT functionalities. With the open and scalable system, simple applications but also complex solutions, e.g. in the packaging industry, can be implemented.
In addition to the appropriate hardware components, ctrlX AUTOMATION offers the possibility to easily add functions to the control via app.

Next level of openness and freedom: ctrlX OS
ctrlX OS is the real-time capable, Linux-based operating system, which was previously used exclusively on the control system ctrlX CORE. It is now also available as a separate solution for the industrial environment. The operating system can be used at all levels, i. e. from the field level to the cloud, and on a wide variety of hardware and is therefore seamlessly connecting even more automation components to the entire ctrlX AUTOMATION portfolio, including the partner solutions of ctrlX World.

Energy-efficient solutions for automation
The shift toward sustainability is in full swing. Sustainability is a decisive factor for savings and more added value.
Extensive tools and models for energy and performance simulations are available for the optimal energy design of plants. The portfolio is supplemented by product-specific features such as the Smart Energy Mode of the drive system ctrlX DRIVE. It enables a DC link voltage independent of the mains voltage and at the same time uses capacitors as energy storage.
Product overhauls are another important component in favor of sustainability. The "Remanufactured Products" program aims to overhaul used parts instead of throwing them away, thus increasing their service life. Old drive and control technology products are taken back and fed into the professional upgrading and recycling process as part of the product overhaul.

Battery Recycling
Absolutely sustainable. We support the return of valuable raw materials to the manufacturing process - with scalable and economical system solutions. Raw materials account for a large part of the costs in the manufacturing process of lithium-ion cells. Bosch Rexroth solutions designed for efficiency in manufacturing sustainably reduce raw material consumption and costs. At the end of the product life cycle, battery packs are dismantled down to their individual parts. The individual fractions can then be sorted and reintroduced into the cycle.

Ergonomics in production
From the right setting for the respective body size to the optimal accessibility of the tools, to the consideration of the individual field of vision and the optimal lighting. An unfavorable posture or poor illumination of the workplace can not only lead to premature signs of fatigue, but also to illness-related absences. Therefore, take precautions with the adaptable workstation systems from Bosch Rexroth.
Ergonomically designed workplaces lead to more motivation and satisfaction, higher performance and quality of work as well as a lower level of illness. The result: a big plus in productivity and cost-effectiveness, a decisive advantage over the competition – and thus a sustainable success for your company.
