The empty bottles are backed up at the feed screw. The screw is geared to the infeed star. The infeed star, which is driven by a servo motor, takes over the bottles and feeds them into the filling carousel. The bottles taken from the infeed star are stopped mechanically or pneumatically and filled through fast-switching valves. The filling process is controlled by continuously measuring the liquid level.
After the bottles are filled, they are fed to the transfer star from where they are taken to the bottle capping machine. The bottles are capped with individual caps mechanically, pneumatically or by means of a servo motor.
