Deepening ports, dredging shipping channels, and making rivers navigable: Where dredgers set to work, things often get a little rough. Therefore, all components must be especially rugged, and every dredging vessel is custom-built. Hopper dredgers, cutter dredgers or split barges – Bosch Rexroth offers customized drive and control systems and equips the majority of all fleets.
With Bosch Rexroth, our customers have a partner who plans and builds the required solutions. We offer you the complete drive and control package for dredging applications. These include winches, pump drives, valve blocks, cylinders and piping, all of which are optimized for maritime use. In developing these solutions, we focus specifically on reducing the total cost of ownership for the customer: Thanks to standardized and, at the same time, highly configurable modules, you will receive an extremely reliable and durable solution from Bosch Rexroth.
As an example, we developed and supplied the complete control and drive system for the dredgers Al Jarraf and Amazone made by the Belgian DEME group. In addition to contributing the engineering for this large-scale project, Bosch Rexroth also provided the central hydraulic drive unit, hydraulic cylinders as well as the piping, valve blocks and local control units.
Our customers can rely on our systems complying with the highest certification standards, such as Bureau Veritas, DNV, LROS, GL or RINA. And as global partners, our experts are quickly on-site if customers need help.
