OverviewBosch Rexroth has expanded its online configurator for runner blocks and guide rails, adding new variants and time-saving functions
Bosch Rexroth has expanded its range of online-configurable linear guides and has made digital engineering easier. The online configurator now features heavy-duty runner blocks, miniature ball runner blocks for medical technology and cam roller runner blocks for applications such as handling, FMCG or battery production. Additional joint options increase flexibility in mechanical engineering. The two online configurators for runner blocks and guide rails are now linked so that suggestions for a suitable counterpart now appear with just a click. The new intuitive system with suggestions according to sector and application saves time. As a result, even less experienced user groups obtain individual product suggestions straight away.
To coincide with the rollout of the new configurator functions, Bosch Rexroth is also expanding its range of linear guides in the online configurator. The heavy-duty range of roller runner blocks is now available in size 100 and 125 along with an extra-long version in size 65. Miniature ball runner blocks for medical and semiconductor applications as well as cam roller runner blocks for handling, FMCG or battery production can also be configured online.
The rail configurator can now be used to configure up to 15 parts in a standardized manner to produce a multi-part rail system. Alternatively, the new modular joint and universal joint options can be used to produce rail systems flexibly from individual rails. The new joint options allow greater flexibility in mechanical engineering and optimum storage of spare parts. With the modular joint, up to eight individual rails can be connected one after another. The universal joint allows any number of individual rails to be linked together with a slight speed restriction to protect the linear guides.
Advantages in mechanical engineering thanks to new joint options
With the sector or application-specific suggestions for runner blocks and rails, even less experienced user groups can select and configure individual linear guides quickly and without making mistakes. If a user switches to the other configurator, the size and mechanical design are carried over and only those parameters which have not yet been defined are requested. This avoids errors and duplicate entries.
If a type key or a material number is entered in the search box, the product will be configured almost completely and can be reordered or changed immediately if necessary.
In order to save even more time, the 3D CAD data can be retrieved during the finalization process in the online configurator, a consultation request can be started or the guide parts in the shopping cart can be ordered directly from the e-shop.
