New NEXO cordless nutrunner from Bosch Rexroth for safety-critical tightening connections in numerous industries
The new cordless nutrunner NEXO from Bosch Rexroth provides production companies with intuitive, modern and user-friendly tools with significantly improved ergonomics and reliable performance. The browser-based operating system and the modern display provide a clear overview of the current tightening results - on the host computer or directly on the display. The hand-held tool, available as a mid-handle or right-angle nutrunner, meets the requirements of the VDI/VDE 2862 guideline for category A tightening applications and is therefore suitable for safety-critical tightening operations.
Whether in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering or further industrial applications: In numerous industries, safety-relevant tightening processes must be carried out and documented precisely, repeatably and reliably. For production companies, the focus is on cost-effective assembly that is also as error-free as possible. With the new compact and ergonomic generation of the NEXO cordless nutrunner from Bosch Rexroth, these requirements are met quickly and safely.
The intuitive and modern user interface ensures ease of use. As the software is browser-based, no additional software needs to be installed on a computer, for example, for the initial setup and further configuration. Access is also possible from a tablet or smartphone. Since the controller is directly integrated into the tool, no external hardware is required. This allows the NEXO to work independently and flexibly in any production environment.
Decentralized operation and extended diagnostic options directly on the nutrunner's large colour display increase user-friendliness at every step of the process. The diagnostic function identifies fault-causing parts at the tool. This contributes to continuous system availability.
Thanks to the use of Bosch ProCORE18V batteries, which are well established on the market, the tools achieve high performance with reduced weight. Short charging times and simple battery changes with keep-alive function ensure minimal downtimes with the NEXO. At the same time, RGB LEDs on the tool body and tool base provide visual feedback to the user, even in unusual working positions.
The new generation of cordless nutrunners is also equipped with a modern WLAN module for significantly improved connectivity and network performance. This allows the tool to remain in the line during a software update. Thanks to a configurable manual mode, the tool can continue to be operated even in the event of a network failure.
The entire hardware of the tool has been newly developed: A 4-core processor ensures future-proof and reliable computing power, even for complex applications. A new motor delivers maximum performance, also at high speeds. Maximum flexibility for every application is guaranteed by the modular output system and the optional customer interface. This enables simple and flexible hardware expansion, for example with a second start switch. The camera-based scanner can also be used to process 2D codes.
