OverviewBosch Rexroth presents its latest generation of compact directional valves at bauma 2022
Bosch Rexroth’s innovative electro-hydraulic and load sensing valve solutions provide users with high flexibility and configurability. They are optimized for mobile machine performance and maximum efficiency.
At the next edition of bauma (Munich, October 24-30th), Bosch Rexroth will introduce the new series of its EDG-Piloted compact directional valves: an electro-hydraulic, load-sensing, high flexible and configurable solution. These valves, whose design extends the availability of Bosch Rexroth’s EDG-Direct acting product platform range to a higher flow rate, are optimized to provide users with maximum efficiency and mobile machine performance. Thanks to their modular concept, they can easily interface with any other Rexroth valve family and represent a versatile solution, suitable for a large variety of market segments and different applications. Forklifts, mobile elevating work platforms, truck mounted cranes, telehandlers, agricultural harvesters, municipal vehicles, and small construction mobile equipment can all benefit from them.
Features of the EDG-Piloted valve include control work port flow up to 60 l/min (15.8 US gal/min) and up to 350 bar (5076 psi) work port pressure. But the following features make Bosch Rexroth’s innovation unique on the market: The valves are light and compact, given their 3 kilograms (6.6 lbs) weight, and allow EDG-Piloted and EDG-Direct acting slices to be assembled together on the same valve stack. Furthermore, integrated secondary valves ensure additional anti-shock and anti-cavitation functionalities. LS Relief Valve on A and/or B ports is also integrated. Flow-optimized cast-iron housings guarantee a low pressure drop value. Dedicated inlet section design, TEG-13, with low pressure stand-by compensator (dual stage compensator) is suitable for both open and closed center circuits. Finally, the new EDG-Piloted directional valve offers high configurability and complete integration with the existing portfolio of Rexroth valves.
