UNBREAKABLE CONNECTIONS. WELDING SPOT ON.

Modern industry places high demands on resistance spot welding. For example, a vehicle is to be built in four variants – and this in six plants worldwide, on eight production lines. This results in over 120,000 welding spots whose parameters have to be determined, entered, optimized and validated. And the complexity continues to increase: With continuing trends, such as lightweight construction, the process is constantly faced with new challenges in terms of process stability and productivity. In addition, there is an ever-increasing need for optimized and, in particular, energy-efficient solutions, Industry 4.0 solutions, and intuitive operating options. Find out how Bosch Rexroth is already meeting these requirements in the automotive industry and how the established solutions can be transferred to the consumer industry, sensor manufacturing, or the metal processing sector.

Be our guest at our booth at Schweißen & Schneiden 2023 in hall 3, booth 3A67. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

Productivity spot on.

One of the most essential elements to increase productivity is to use the suitable manufacturing technology and invest in the right technical equipment. The PRC7000 resistance welding control system takes the latest approaches with AI-supported process optimization, fast commissioning, state-of-the-art process controls, and quality monitoring systems, and can therefore be an essential element in increasing the productivity of your manufacturing.

Intuition spot on.

New material combinations, higher expectations of quality and productivity, new plant technologies and fewer and fewer skilled workers. Bosch Rexroth addresses the problem by making the welding process as easy as pressing a play button. We help you with the simple search for the right welding parameters, the transfer to adaptive control and the automated search for the right monitoring limits.

Digital Welding spot on.

Welding generates immense amounts of data, which form the basis for predictive maintenance or process optimization with the help of machine learning, for example. Data must be collected, analyzed, and processed. With the IoT Connector, users can process the data according to their needs. With the Weld Spot Analytics – Insights solution, collected data can be used and processed with the help of domain-specific knowledge. Optimizations and the quick detection of inefficiencies become even easier.

Quality spot on.

The position signal of the welding gun provides the most reliable information about the sequence of the welding process. Bosch Rexroth has taken precisely this approach with the Adaptive Position Regulation function and implemented it in the PRC7000 welding control system on the basis of the proven adaptive UI control. In addition, the control of the gun movement was transferred from the robot to the controller – this controls the process from the closing of the gun to the cooling of the spot weld and achieves a significant improvement in spot weld quality.

Energy efficiency spot on.

Energy-saving systems are becoming increasingly important in all areas of automotive production, including the energy-intensive chassis shop. The welding control generation PRC7000 from Bosch Rexroth was specifically designed to be energy-efficient and, for example, operates in standby mode with approximately 60 % less energy consumption than the previous generation. In addition to the standard variant in AC technology, the control is also available as a DC variant for optimized power consumption.

Precision beam cutting

The scalable CNC system MTX creates the perfect basis for machine manufacturers and users to meet the increasing requirements in the field of beam cutting. When the MTX CNC system with integrated PLC meets the compact drive system ctrlX DRIVE, top performance in beam cutting is pre-programmed. Through the use of leapfrog or frog jump, splines, the high-performance CNC system and appropriate drive functions, users can beam-cut a reference metal sheet 10 to 15 percent more quickly than before.
