OverviewLogistics and transport manage the flow of resource across the entire supply chain to meet the requirements of customers or corporations. When managing the flow of goods and materials, four key parameters are crucial: reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety, or RAMS for short.
From ship engine components and rail vehicle technology to equipment for container handling and hydrogen fuelling stations, we support your complete value chain of transport and logistics.
Ships’ engines must operate reliably around the clock. At the same time, however, they should also ensure the lowest possible emissions and minimum operating costs. This can only be achieved with optimum control of the fuel injection and exhaust gas outlet. Bosch Rexroth‘s hydraulic servo valve is designed to follow the performance curve of large 2-stroke diesel engines precisely, thus allowing fuel consumption and NOX emissions to be minimized. When it comes to ensuring reliable operation, another key aspect is optimum ease of handling: Bosch Rexroth‘s FIVA valve fulfills this requirement thanks to its integrated electronics. The complete valve can be replaced during a service call without adjustment.
As tough and versatile as Hägglunds motors are, JonRie has no difficulties incorporating them into the winches. On the contrary, the motors’ high power density ensures that both power and function can be packed into a small amount of deck space. JonRie relies mainly on motors from the Hägglunds Compact series, which includes the Hägglunds CA, CB and CBm, as well as the newer Hägglunds CAb.
“Deck space is always a premium,” says Durar. “The Hägglunds CAb is a very small Hägglunds motor, and we’ve been experimenting with it on our level winds. It’s a nice stout motor in a good little package, and the principle is the same. It takes a licking but keeps on ticking.”
