Bosch Rexroth’s MP1000R takes home an NED Innovation award for the Material Handling & Packaging category

The NED Innovation award celebrates innovative products that empower manufacturers to work faster, better, and more cost-effectively.

Bosch Rexroth’s MP1000R, made in collaboration with Geek+, won the Material Handling & Packaging category of the New Equipment Digest (NED) Innovation awards. NED readers voted for finalists based on provided product materials to determine the most innovative of the category.

One of latest addition to Bosch Rexroth’s comprehensive portfolio of factory automation technologies, the MP1000R automates material handling applications without requiring external infrastucture. Small but mighty, the MP1000R has a 1000kg payload capacity and uses Bosch Rexroth’s ROKIT Locator software to seamlessly navigate in highly-dynamic environments.

Safety benefits is one of the large draws for implementing AMRs into workflows. Alternative transport options, like forklifts, have a high accident rate and bring up a safety concern. Statistics show that 90% of all forklifts in the US will be in an accident during its lifecycle and approx. 35,000 people per year suffer severe injuries from forklift-related accidents. Additionally, manufacturing environments often require repetitive tasks that can put strain on workers’ bodies and cause long-term damage. AMR innovations, like the MP1000R, play a critical role in helping manufacturers replace more accident-prone machines like forklifts and eliminate repetitive tasks that can cause worker injury.

Key features of the MP1000R include:

Flexibility

  • 1.5 m/s movement speed
  • Integrated lift and turntable with zero-turn radius
  • Moves loads with racks & shelves or directly on the bot to dock at fixed location or pallet conveyor
  • Hybrid navigation using LiDAR SLAM and QR codes
  • Integrates with PLC and ERP

Reliability

  • Continuous map updates with Bosch Rexroth‘s ROKIT Locator software
  • Backed by Rexroth field service and technical support
  • Proven performance in Bosch’s own manufacturing plants
  • Smart opportunity charging to keep your fleet running

Safety

  • Dual mode obstacle avoidance system with 360-degree coverage
  • CE, ETL certified & compliance with ISO 3691-4:2020
