Secure Marine Automation

Secure Marine Automation

The alarm and monitoring system facilitates complex monitoring and control tasks

Whether workboat or yacht, for skippers and technically responsible persons immediate access to vessel information and functions is elementary. The operator-oriented, adaptable user interface on Marex AMC provides a structured and clearly arranged access to all the information. The monitoring system is classified, and thus also suitable for use in commercial shipping and offshore applications.

Every propulsion aggregate, from the generator to the main propulsion machinery, requires a reliable safety system. The Marex AMC (Alarm, Monitoring and Control) from Rexroth is a system that facilitates the integration of complex monitoring and control processes. The system is approved by the major classification societies – also as a duty alarm system with an engineer call function for unattended engine room operation.

In addition to monitoring safety-relevant operating data as a decentralized, secure data collection system, Marex AMC provides numerous additional functions, even including ship automation with door surveillance and a digital visualization of fire alarms.

If remote control and automation are required on board, Marex AMC can be easily expanded to implement numerous control functions. Examples include a navigation control – also suitable for LED navigation lights – as well as pump control.

Video signals can also be processed in the monitoring system. In this case, the cameras are directly installed in the system and controlled via the system display. Chartplotters and nautical charts can also be integrated in Marex AMC. With these features and functions, Rexroth has expanded its own comprehensive portfolio of powertrain technology.
