NPE 2012: Integrate Energy-Efficiency Hydraulic Easily

Only if pump and motor are optimally aligned and if the software can read the movement task with all peculiarities of the fluid technology, the power consumption can be reduced at the same performance

Besides its productivity, the energy consumption of a machine becomes increasingly the criterion of the purchase decision. Therefore, already during production, manufacturers must keep an eye on the energy efficiency of the individual components. A drive concept with variable speed pump drives promises the potential of savings. To keep the engineering effort as low as possible, the machine manufacturer expects unproblematic implementation in its machine concept. When choosing Sytronix Variable Speed Pumps from Rexroth, the integration will be an easy and safe experience.

Machines must solve various motion tasks, and there are just as many approaches to solve them. Design engineers want to change to energy saving hydraulics but without having to pay high costs for selection, design, programming, and commissioning. The comprehensive technical competence of Bosch Rexroth allows the development of an integrated solution from one source: the Sytronix family, where Rexroth combined its hydraulic pumps and electric drives. The manufacturer’s hydraulic knowledge is already implemented in the best-in-class controls. This provides many advantages: the design engineer can integrate the finely scaled, ready-to-install, pre-configured solutions very easily and quickly in the overall concept of the machine without having to grapple with the constructive details.

When choosing Sytronix kits that are designed for the respective motion task, Rexroth’s industry experts provide advice. For instance the 14 kits of the FcP 5000 series are in particular suitable for simple hydraulic tasks, such as clamping or gripping. In these economic solutions, frequency converters with internal gear pumps handle the demand-actuated power generation. For more demanding plastic machinery or forming technology tasks, designers can choose among 47 pre-configured kits of the SvP 7000 series. These kits cover a wide range of applications in five performance classes with various servo-motors and pump types. More than 80 kits of the production series DFEn 5000 are particularly suitable for axis control tasks in the high power range. The intelligent pump is only offered by Rexroth, and it controls the swing angle and the engine speed for the four quadrant operation.

Users reduce power consumption of the hydraulics by up to 80 percent with Sytronix while being able to keep the same productivity. Apart from that, they reduce the medium noise emission by up to 20 dB (A) and increase the product life of the hydraulic medium through lower heat input.
