Bosch Rexroth to exhibit Connected Automation, I4.0 technologies at NIWeek 2016

Bosch Rexroth Open Core Engineering

Bosch Rexroth will demonstrate practical applications of its award-winning Open Core Engineering Technology in combination with LabVIEW at NIWeek 2016.

Bosch Rexroth will demonstrate the possibilities of Connected Automation at NIWeek 2016 in booth #221 and kiosk #809P

Bosch Rexroth will join more than 3,200 innovators at the 22nd annual NIWeek conference presented by NI, beginning August 1 in Austin, Texas. The company will present its technologies in two booths—booth #221 in the main exhibit area and kiosk #809P in the Tools Network Pavilion. Bosch Rexroth will be co-exhibiting with Bosch Software Innovations, in order to show factory floor to back office possibilities with Connected Automation.

Booth highlights will include Rexroth’s award-winning Open Core Engineering technology, which bridges the gap between IT and PLC programming. The company will show how OCE, via the Open Core Interface, has helped a variety of machine builders use National Instruments’ LabVIEW to offer sophisticated machine control without writing a single line of PLC code. In the same booth, Bosch Software Innovations will show the software solution Production Performance Manager, which is a production information and evaluation system. In near real time, it collects production and machine data, combines it to produce a visual representation, and communicates defined events to the production worker, who may be involved directly or indirectly. Production Performance Manager represents a substantial step forward in preventive maintenance.

In the Tools Network Pavilion (kiosk #809P), Rexroth will show its MLPI, as well as the new SoftMotion IndraDrive plug-in—a CAN-over-EtherCAT solution to use the IndraDrive with NI’s own LabVIEW motion solution.

Finally, Bosch Rexroth’s Allen Tubbs will offer a technical session titled “Tips for Selecting the Correct Motion Control Components.” This informative session will explore OSs, network topologies, communication techniques, and other design considerations controls engineers should make when choosing control components for motion applications. The session will also present tools that can be used for a wide range of these applications. The technical session, TS9639, is scheduled for Wednesday, August 3rd, at 4:45pm.
