Connect with Bosch Rexroth’s latest automation technology during ATX West 2017

Rexroth ATX West

Rexroth will display the latest in connected manufacturing technologies at ATX West. #4201.

Bosch Rexroth brings the latest automation technology, product demonstrations and expert advice to ATX West in Anaheim, California, February 7-9, 2017. Visitors can review technical questions with Rexroth experts and experience a variety of its offerings firsthand in booth #4201.

Bosch Rexroth will exhibit the latest connected automation technology during ATX West February 7-9 in Anaheim, California. Booth #4201 will be home to several exhibits including a new Open Mechatronics demonstration that utilizes Open Core Engineering to control a multi-axis Cartesian system; TSplus and VarioFlow plus conveyor systems with the latest Rexroth drives and controls; EasyHandling; high-precision tightening systems; and the new Active Cockpit production floor data visualization system.

Open Core Mechatronics

Multi-axis motion control and programming has never been easier thanks to Open Core Engineering. It provides access to the core of Rexroth’s motion-logic drive and control platforms to enable programmers using familiar IT languages, such as MATLAB, LabVIEW and even Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Java to create automation functions and applications.

Software engineers can also significantly streamline HMI programming through Rexroth’s Open Core Interface. Taking advantage of predefined software functions, a machine builder can create a customized, easy-to-understand interface, such as a mobile app or HMI screen—allowing users to perform machine functions and collect data from virtually anywhere.

TSplus and VarioFlow plus conveyor systems

Visitors will experience the benefits of I4.0 and connected automation with Rexroth’s integrated TSplus conveyor exhibit. Integrated screwdriving, precise workpiece control, easy-to-visualize diagnostics – this demo has it all, including the latest electric drives and controls technology, such as the company’s new IndraControl XM controller.

The VarioFlow plus chain conveyor system will also be on display with integrated mechatronics and pick-and-place. VarioFlow plus is a versatile, high-performance and standardized system ideal for machine builders and systems integrators who need to deliver flexible transport solutions to their customers faster. VarioFlow plus sets new industry standards for flexibility and modularity.

Production and Tightening Tools

For assembly of everything from dishwashers and refrigerators to automobiles and airplanes, Bosch Production Tools, Bosch Power Tools and Rexroth Tightening Systems are secure, reliable and accurate. Rexroth Tightening Systems use advanced digital control technology and long-lasting electric motors to provide scalable assembly tightening solutions for all automated and manual tightening tasks. Additionally, tightening products are designed to withstand a million maintenance-free tightening cycles under full load for high-volume, high-quality operations and minimal downtime.

Manual Production Systems & Active Cockpit

Manual assembly will continue to be a critical component in the sophisticated connected assembly systems of tomorrow. Rexroth's Active Cockpit connects to data-sensing manual and automated processes to give associates on the floor a real-time view of production data, work instructions, meeting minutes - whatever information is needed for instant access in order to optimize production.

Couple these newest technologies with Rexroth's Manual Production Systems (MPS), and customers can create the most efficient, flexible lean production system they’ve ever experienced. Developed strictly in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, and based on Rexroth’s easy-to-reconfigure aluminum framing system, MPS makes lean manufacturing easy and lets manufacturers adapt quickly to their customers' changing demands.

Assembly Plant of the Year

In September 2016, Bosch Rexroth was proud to receive the 2016 Assembly Plant of the Year award from ASSEMBLY Magazine. The world-class plant received the 13th annual award for its robust combination of lean manufacturing principles, technological advances, environmental initiatives, employee training programs and community involvement. The plant assembles hydraulic pumps and motors, and uses Rexroth's very own manual production systems, aluminum framing and tightening tools as the backbone of their lean production system. Driven by metrics to continually improve quality and productivity for customers, over the past four years, they made significant advancements in quality, delivery, customer satisfaction and worker safety.
