Bosch Rexroth’s IndraControl XM22 and specific I/O modules are now rated for explosive environments, allowing them to be specified for Oil and Gas industry applications.

Recently, Bosch Rexroth received new certification in two standards, IECEx and ATEX, known throughout the oil and gas industry as relating to equipment for use in explosive atmospheres. Bosch Rexroth hydraulic components have long been utilized in oil and gas solutions. Now, with this certification, the industry can benefit from Bosch Rexroth’s expertise in motion control solutions, as well.

Bosch Rexroth’s XM22 motion controller is certified under the IECEx and ATEX standards, as are several local I/O and communication modules.

Bosch Rexroth’s IndraControl XM22 programmable logic controllers (PLC) combine the speed of the Sercos automation bus with Rexroth’s IndraControl S20 input/output (I/O) series for a functionally complete and scalable control system. The controllers are available with an Intel® 1,300 MHz ATOM processoralong with an onboard Sercos master featuring a cycle time as low as 250 μs.
