Two Bosch Rexroth products named Finalists in Plant Engineering’s 2017 Product of the Year Awards

Product of the Year

Rexroth’s Pure Power is a Finalist in the Fluid Handling category for Plant Engineering’s Product of the Year award.

Plant Engineering recently named two Bosch Rexroth products as finalists for the 2017 Product of the Year Awards. Between now and January 5, 2018, online voting is available for qualified subscribers of Plant Engineering’s print and digital magazine.

Pure Power Filter Media

With breakthrough hydraulic filter technology, Rexroth’s new fifth generation filter media, Pure Power , delivers 50 percent more dirt-holding capacity to protect hydraulic systems. Additionally, Pure Power lowers operating costs thanks to a significantly increased service life of the filter elements. Pure Power reliably retains destructive contaminants unseen to the naked eye, ensuring failsafe operation of hydraulic systems. Featuring a unique six-layer design, this is the first time a manufacturer has equipped all filter elements in standard sizes with an electrical conductive fleece filter medium by default. This feature reduces the risk of electric discharges in connection with zinc and ash-free hydraulic oils.

PurePower Filter Media is a Finalist in the Fluid Handling category.

IoT Gateway

Easily connect to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0 environments with Rexroth’s IoT Gateway . The IoT Gateway optimizes production processes and product quality by networking new and existing machines and brings legacy machinery into the digital age. With the IoT Gateway, manufacturers can make their machines ready for Industry 4.0 without the engineering and commissioning expense that is typical of connecting to plant floor data. The connection features are accessed through apps, similar to what are used with our smart phones. The IoT Gateway requires no additional software to set up, saving users time and money.

The IoT Gateway is a Finalist in the Automation & Controls Category category.

Voting for Plant Engineering’s 2017 Engineers’ Choice Awards is open through January 5, 2018. Subscribers can cast their votes at .
