Bosch Rexroth wins two Golden Mousetrap awards from Design News

Bosch Rexroth was the recent recipient of two Golden Mousetrap Awards from Design News.

Bosch Rexroth recently received two Golden Mousetrap awards from Design News magazine for Sytronix DRn 5020 and the EMC-HD. Design News magazine editors recognized Rexroth’s Sytronix DRn in the Automation & Control: Drives category for its impressive features including reduced noise levels and torque demands. Rexroth’s EMC-HD won the Automation & Motion Control: Motors and Mechanical Motion Devices category for its cost-efficient design, even under harsh work conditions.

The magazine announced the winners of its annual awards program during a ceremony on February 6, 2018, at the Anaheim Convention Center, in Anaheim, California, held in conjunction with the Pacific Design & Manufacturing trade show. The full list of winners is posted on the Design News website.

Golden Mousetrap Best Product awards were given in four major categories: Electronics & Test; Automation & Motion Control; Design Hardware; and Materials & Assembly. During the ceremony, Design News also honored Dr. John B. Goodenough, the inventor of the lithium-ion battery, with the Lifetime Achievement Award and William Grill with the Gadget Freak of the Year award. For more than 20 years, the Design News awards program has recognized exceptional products and celebrated engineering innovation.

Highlights of the Sytronix DRn 5020 include:

  • Sytronix DRn 5020 supports standalone operation or Multi-Ethernet communication options, providing flexibility for integration into a variety of system topologies.
  • The innovative design benefits users with reduced noise levels and torque demand.
  • Sytronix increases pump efficiency and allows smaller pump size in contrast to standard systems.

Highlights of the EMC-HD include:

  • This solution allows users to have easy control and positioning and eliminates leakage.
  • The EMC-HD meets a variety of environmental requirements including water protection and fire prevention, while lowering operating costs and saving time and space.
  • Rexroth’s EMC-HD is extremely energy efficient because they use the energy on demand and implement it with high efficiency in a linear motion.
