Bosch Rexroth wins two Product of the Year awards from Plant Engineering for the IoT Gateway and Pure Power Filter

2017 Product of the Year

Pure Power filter and IoT Gateway won 2017 Product of the Year awards.

Bosch Rexroth recently received two Product of the Year awards from Plant Engineering magazine for IoT Gateway and Pure Power filter. Industry professionals from Plant Engineering’s subscriber lists recognized IoT Gateway as the bronze winner in the Automation & Controls category and Pure Power filter media as the silver winner in the Fluid Handling category.

Winners of the 2017 Product of the Year award were recognized at a dinner in Chicago on April 16, 2018, and honored in the April 2018 issue of Plant Engineering. Plant Engineering subscribers voted in categories based on their industry qualifications such as technological advancement, market impact and service to the industry.

Highlights of the winning products include:

IoT Gateway

The IoT Gateway makes it easy to connect to Industry 4.0 environments without intervening with the automation logic. The precisely coordinated combination of control hardware and software is designed for implementing IT applications. The IoT Gateway collects sensor and process data, transmits it to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), cloud applications or local machine state monitoring systems, and enables process data analysis. It is a path to bringing legacy machinery into the digital age.

IoT Gateway is a winner in the Automation & Controls category

Pure Power Filter

With breakthrough hydraulic filter technology, Rexroth’s fifth-generation filter media, Pure Power, delivers 50 percent more dirt-holding capacity to protect hydraulic systems. Featuring a unique six-layer design, this is the first time a manufacturer has equipped all filter elements in standard sizes with an electrical conductive fleece filter medium by default. Additionally, Pure Power lowers operating costs thanks to a significantly increased service life of the filter elements. Pure Power reliably retains destructive contaminants unseen to the naked eye, ensuring failsafe operation of hydraulic systems.

Pure Power is a winner in the Fluid Handling category
