Seamlessly transition from the design data to the machining program with MTX

Lantek

Seamless integration of Lantek software into the MTX user interface, optimized for efficient and reliable creation of CNC machining programs for shape cutting through to 3D simulation of the machine

With the seamless integration of Lantek Expert Inside software into the CNC system MTX, Bosch Rexroth offers the user the perfect solution for the economical use of shape cutting machines. The software forms the bridge for the efficient and reliable path from design data to CNC programming.

The MTX CNC system from Bosch Rexroth is a powerful solution for controlling machine tools. Its particular advantages lie in its high computing performance, adaptability to customer requirements, openness and extensive communication options. The MTX thus offers the best conditions for shape cutting.

In addition to a powerful CNC, it is also important for the machine operator to know how efficiently and reliably new machining programs can be created. Thanks to the seamless integration of the Lantek Expert Inside software, Bosch Rexroth offers the perfect solution for the economical use of shape cutting machines, especially in the field of shop-floor CNC programming.

Lantek is a leading provider of CAD/CAM solutions specifically for shape cutting. Lantek Expert Inside brings extensive functions to the shop floor: from importing or creating cutting contours, manually or automatically arranging the contours on the sheet metal, defining lead-in and lead-out strategies to automatically generating and simulating CNC programs.

Lantek’s software conveniently operated via the MTX screen. This enables the user to process new production orders and create CNC programs during cutting. Special functions provide information on the machine status, simplify operation and enable immediate return to the MTX operating screen at any time. All screen dialogs are designed for touch screen operation.

Optionally, it is possible to use the identical programming environment with a virtual MTX on an office PC. Instead of cutting on the real machine, the processes can also be evaluated with the help of a 3D simulation of the machine.

"This cooperation is another step of Lantek to improve the competitiveness of the main players in the metal industry”, says Francisco Pérez, Director of Lantek’s Machine Tool Manufacturers Channel. "For both the manufacturers of cutting machines and end users benefit from greater machine-software integration."

"By integrating Lantek Expert Inside into our MTX, we are combining the most powerful CNC on the market with Lantek's extensive technological know-how and experience in the shape cutting market," says Hansjörg Sannwald, Head of Market and Product Management CNC Systems. "For the customer, this results in a practical, integrated process chain from the CAD data of the workpieces to the MTX machining programs.”
