Bosch Rexroth Presents Latest Factory of the Future Technology at The Assembly Show 2021

Bosch Rexroth multiple technology demos and exhibits

Bosch Rexroth will host multiple technology demos and exhibits showcasing its smart conveyors and transport systems, linear motion technology and plug-and-produce mechatronics solutions.

Bosch Rexroth will show manufacturers and assembly operations the company’s latest, most innovative transport, linear motion, mechatronics and production tool technology in booth 619 at The Assembly Show 2021, October 26-28, in Rosemont, IL.

At The Assembly Show, booth visitors will have the opportunity to see multiple working demos covering a broad range of both new and proven Rexroth technologies, including multiaxis Cartesian systems, high-speed precision conveyors, wireless tightening systems and flexible workstations.

Highlights of the booth include complete working demos of Rexroth’s ActiveMover Transport System, which uses linear motor technology, as well as the high-speed TS pallet-based conveyor system and Rexroth’s smart mechatronics plug-and-produce solution for pressing applications.

Along with the booth demos and exhibits, experienced Rexroth technology experts will be on hand to help users make their manufacturing and assembly platforms smarter and more flexible by leveraging the versatile, Industry 4.0 solutions Rexroth supplies.

Key booth demos and exhibits at The Assembly Show 2021 include:

Flexible Transport System demo: Rexroth’s Flexible Transport System is a magnetically propelled pallet transport system engineered to provide more precise pallet positioning than traditional roller, chain or belt conveyor systems, as well as higher transport speeds. It can support both independent and synchronized pallet movements, providing more flexible transport sequences, reduced cycle times and faster throughput.

ActiveMover Transfer System with Smart Function Kit for Pressing: This state-of-the-art linear motor transfer system moves magnetic pallets with unprecedented speed and accuracy. The ActiveMover system offers key i4.0 advantages, such as programming and control of each work piece pallet, for much greater freedom in creating or altering process flows, as well as flexibility in changeovers and retooling. The demo integrates the Smart Function Kit for Pressing, which is utilized with specific individual pallets for various pressing and joining applications.

Multitechnology conveyor demo: This exhibit showcases how Bosch Rexroth is enabling the Factory of the Future for both manual and automated production by seamlessly integrating key systems such as the TS 2plus palletized conveyor with a Cartesian 3-axis robot incorporating CKK compact linear modules. The demo is powered by a cabinet-free IndraDrive Mi servo drive, all controlled by IndraControl XM22 PLC with Safety PLC.

Smart Function Kit for Handling linear motion display: The Smart Function Kit for Handling is a preassembled multiaxis mechatronic system with plug-and-produce technology, consisting of perfectly matched linear modules and connecting elements, along with servo drives and controls from the Rexroth portfolio.

Mechatronics + Internet of Things (IoT) demo: This live working demo showcases multiple Rexroth mechatronics technologies, as well as open connectivity using the AnyViz Cloud Adapter application, to turn a Rexroth PLC into a cloud-based IoT gateway that enables remote operation, monitoring and analysis of machine and plant controls.

Rexroth Workstation Technology: This informative exhibit will showcase the full range of workstation solutions and technology Rexroth offers to create stations that improve production accuracy, productivity and speed. The exhibit includes a working example of a compact, flexible case lifter, as well as information on flow racks, scanners and identification systems. Visitors will also get the chance to see the newest technology in Bosch production tools on display at the workstation.

Expert transport system field service: Booth visitors can get details on Bosch Rexroth field service programs for transport systems, including complete on-site system assembly or installation support, field preventative maintenance programs featuring regular equipment inspections, adjustments and replacement of worn parts, as well as conveyor tune-up, transfer media replacement and extended service programs.
