The products coming from the upstream process arrive at random intervals at the single-cycle belt. The control unit records the position of the arriving products via fast sensors. The products are brought to the right distance and phase position on several belts that are electronically coupled with each other.
In a next step, the products are fed into the pockets of a timing chain for the subsequent packaging process. The maximum acceleration and deceleration values are defined by the specific weight and geometry of the products and by the friction between product and belt. Moreover, “smooth” motion profiles are absolutely necessary especially when dealing with bagged liquids in order to achieve as high as possible throughputs.
