Lohr – The executive board of Bosch Rexroth AG is being reorganized. Effective January 1, 2015, Dr. Steffen Haack has been appointed to the executive board. He will be assuming responsibility for the Industrial Applications business unit, of which he is currently president. He will also be in charge of Bosch Rexroth sales. Until the end of August 2014, the 48-year-old was chairman of the management board of Bosch Solar Energy. Prior to this position, he spent many years at Bosch Rexroth, most recently as president of sales and branch management for factory automation. Haack has extensive industry expertise, for instance in the areas of electric drives and hydraulics.

Dr. Stefan Spindler, who has been in charge of the Mobile Applications business unit, is leaving the company at his own request. Dr. Bertram Hoffmann, member of the executive board, is set to assume responsibility for Mobile Applications after Spindler’s departure. He will also continue to be in charge of the Renewable Energies business unit and production. “We thank Mr. Spindler for his high level of commitment over the years and in the various positions he held at our company. We wish him all the best for the future,” said Dr. Karl Tragl, the chairman of the executive board, who will take over Spindler’s responsibility for research and development at Bosch Rexroth. Moreover, Tragl will focus his efforts on driving foreign business forward in major growth markets such as Asia, the Americas, and Africa. His aim will be to ensure that acquisitions already made in these regions in particular quickly contribute to the growth of the entire company. Dr. Rolf Dieter Amann’s areas of responsibility will remain unchanged. The 56-year-old will continue to be in charge of purchasing, logistics, commercial activities, and human resources.
