Eima Technical Innovations Contest 2012 awards Bosch Rexroth

Rexroth A1VO

Specifically tailored to market needs: Rexroth A1VO axial piston variable displacement pump

Bosch Rexroth receives Eima mention for its innovative axial piston variable pump A1VO

Bosch Rexroth is one of the winners in the 2012 Eima Technical Innovation Contest 2012. With the new Rexroth A1VO axial piston variable displacement pump, the company was awarded the ‘Eima mention’.

Since 1986 and on the occasion of the Eima International exhibition, the Italian Federation of Farm Machinery Manufacturers FederUnacoma recognizes the industries’ innovative technological products for agricultural and gardening activities. The jury, a scientific committee consisting of representatives from FederUnacoma, ENAMA (Ente Nazionale per la Meccanizzazione Agricola), teachers and technicians from universities and research centers, decided that the new Rexroth A1VO pump has the special merit of combining efficiency, reliability and energy savings in one product.

With the new A1VO Rexroth offers a cost-effective alternative to constant displacement pumps and supports an economical switch from the traditional open-center design to a load-sensing system. This approach summons hydraulic power as it is needed. Simulations based on a 90 hp diesel engine actually used in the marketplace verify fuel savings of between 10 and 15 percent per operating hour in mixed usage. The A1VO achieves greatest savings in partial load operation: Based on the usual life expectancy of 6,000 hrs an overall savings of up to 10,000 liters can be expected.

Using the Rexroth 4EE (for Energy Efficiency) system, Bosch Rexroth is working on numerous innovations for energy efficiency. Rexroth 4EE means increasing efficiency with innovative components, optimizing power management, energy on demand, and energy recovery. Eima International is the biennial exhibition for agricultural and gardening equipment and components. It is held in Bologna on November 7 to 11, 2012 in the Bologna Trade Fair Center.
