Bosch Rexroth and Consensum recently met for the signing of a 20 years worldwide license agreement in Laatzen near Hannover, Germany. This opens up a whole new market segment for Bosch Rexroth: the recreational diving industry.

A company with Scandinavian origins, Consensum AS is dedicated to research and development as well as marketing of scuba diving safety products. The high demands placed on these products require the latest technologies and top-of-the-line quality. Comprehensive expertise in compressed air technology combined with special, highly durable materials make Bosch Rexroth the logical choice for the production of compressed air components for use in (salt) water. The cooperation with Consensum gives Bosch Rexroth the opportunity to implement its technical experience outside the realm of mechanical and plant engineering. Bosch Rexroth thus gains a further attractive market for pneumatic applications and will be a supplier to the recreational diving industry in the future. The company’s new activities revolve around safety-oriented compressed air functions for divers.

“We are very happy about the prospects of a close, long-term cooperation in this new market segment,” announced Dr. Alexander Lawrence, Rexroth Vice President Sales.
