Pneumatic circuit diagrams can be easily created using the intuitive software.

Free software from Rexroth makes it easy for new and experienced users to create pneumatic circuit diagrams in compliance with standards

  • Intuitive operation
  • No CAD knowledge required
  • Calculation of air consumption via circuit diagram software

The days when designers drew circuit diagrams with a ruler and pencil are long gone. Thanks to modern software, the process has become both faster and more reliable. Rexroth's D&C Scheme Editor 4.0 software makes it particular easy to create pneumatic circuit diagrams and can also be linked with documentation and the order process.

Even new users without any CAD knowledge can create a standard circuit diagram with the D&C Scheme Editor 4.0 in a few minutes and print it out as a PDF. A comprehensive pneumatic symbol library is at the core of the tool. The user clicks on the symbols in the library, drags them to a worksheet, and then simply links them to create a circuit diagram. The result: even complex pneumatic circuit diagrams that comply with standards and ensure safety during system construction, commissioning, and maintenance.

Components from Bosch Rexroth's online pneumatics catalog can also be easily transferred to a circuit diagram in the Scheme Editor 4.0 with just a few mouse clicks. Another plus in practical application is an option to first draw a system draft and then easily and intuitively add cylinders, suction grippers, or other pneumatic components using a link to the online calculation tools from Bosch Rexroth. To give you an overview of energy consumption, the Scheme Editor 4.0 also includes a calculation of the required air for the designed pneumatic system.

Regularly used symbols are included in the "Favorites" folder and are thus immediately visible for future use. Valve units, maintenance units, or cylinder/valve combinations that have been created with the online configurator can also be taken over in the circuit diagram as pneumatic symbols. At the same time, the user receives complete documentation of the unit as a PDF, along with 2D and 3D CAD images, available for download.

If part and item numbers, as well as accessories, are assigned to the individual components in a circuit diagram, the Scheme Editor 4.0 will create a parts list, as required. The user can then directly start the order process – in short: documentation, ordering, and administration the easy way.

The software is available in German and English and is compatible with Microsoft operating systems. Interested parties can download the Scheme Editor and associated documentation free-of-charge from the Internet at www.boschrexroth.com/dnc-scheme-editor. The online calculation tools are available independently of the Scheme Editor at www.boschrexroth.com/computation.
