The switch unit is easy to operate and the design blends in with any bridge.

Emergency stop devices are prescribed on all control stations and on the engine in classified ships. The directives for this function are strict, as this is the only way to ensure that machines respond reliably and directly in emergency situations. Rexroth equips classified ships with this function. The company also offers class-compliant equipment for non-classified ships of all sizes.

As a manufacturer-independent system, the emergency stop function from Rexroth can be used in engines of different makes and with various safety systems. Depending on the system, it uses various technological principles, such as a switchable resistor or diodes for wire break monitoring.

This device is wired independently of the alarm system and remote control for each individual engine. As a result, users can be sure that malfunctions in other areas will not affect the emergency stop function. It is also protected against accidental operation.

The emergency stop can be integrated in ships with multiple control stations using a cascading principle.

On request, the emergency stop can be pre-configured for use with the Marex OS II remote control and / or Marex AMC alarm and monitoring system, or supplied together with the respective system. This way, the user benefits from an integrated Rexroth system that blends in perfectly and ensures an attractive bridge design.
