Management change in the Industrial Applications Business Unit of Bosch Rexroth

Jörg de la Motte succeeds Paul Cooke as sales support head of the Industrial Applications Business Unit.

Jörg de la Motte (45) took over as Senior Vice President Sales of the Business Unit Industrial Applications at Bosch Rexroth in Lohr am Main on September 1. Previously he was Head of a corporate program for efficiency enhancement, through which Bosch Rexroth wants to prepare itself for a secure future and greater competitiveness. As global Sales Director, he attaches great importance to growth through technological change and new topics like Industry 4.0, along with the customer.

Jörg de la Motte joined the company in 1999. Various leadership tasks in Germany were followed by Chairman of the Board of the Country Unit Netherlands in 2009. Until now, Paul Cooke was senior vice president sales for the Business Unit Industrial Applications. On July 1, Cooke assumed leadership of Bosch Rexroth's Americas region as well as Chairman of the Board of the Country Unit in the United States.

Testbed Award for TSN Testbed

The TSN Testbed from the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) received the Testbed Award at the IoT Solutions World Congress which was held from October 3 to 5, 2017 in Barcelona. The prize has been awarded annually in four categories (Industry Award, Innovative Award, Business Transformation Award, Testbed Award) since 2016. The jury judged the TSN Testbed, which was newly constructed this year, to be the best of the eleven nominated testbeds.

Intelligent hydraulics for increased availability

Connected hydraulics increase the availability of machinery and plants through condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. For this purpose, Rexroth offers scalable solutions, from individual units with local evaluation to the complete, cloud-based monitoring of large plants. Sensors measure all relevant operating conditions and software detects wear before it leads to failure. Retrofitting kits also economically integrate already installed plants into these concepts.
