Improved ergonomics and increased safety

Solutions for stepless hydraulic height adjustment for workbenches, tables and other work frames form the highlight of current upgrades.

Rexroth is upgrading its Basic Mechanic Elements kit with components for customized configuration of manual workstations

  • Stepless hydraulic height adjustment offers freedom of movement
  • Color concept makes ESD-capable components visible
  • Safe line routing in new VDE-certified cable ducts

Rexroth, the production technology specialist, is upgrading its Basic Mechanic Elements kit. New solutions for hydraulic stepless height adjustment support optimization of the man-machine interface due to improved ergonomics in workbenches, tables and work frames. Furthermore, the new color concept for ESD conductive plastic parts and VDE certified aluminum cable ducts increase safety during installation.

Ergonomically designed workstations are among the measures that most significantly increase performance in production. For this reason, Rexroth is offering new lifting modules which can be used to individually and steplessly adjust the height of tables, work frames and workstations by up to 400 mm using a crank handle. The sturdy design allows bearing loads of 800 N. Prefilling and quick couplings – for which there are also additional adapters and connection plates – make installation easier. In order to increase safety, the lifting modules are fitted with friction clutches and valves that prevent uncontrolled falling and damage to the system in the case of line breakage.

The color concept for plastic parts and the aluminum cable ducts from Rexroth are also characterized by a high level of functionality and safety. Now users can immediately identify the properties of covers from their color. The permanently volume-conductive plastic parts in "black ESD" differ considerably from those in "signal gray" which meet the demand for a harmonious appearance. Another new addition to the MGE program are ESD-conductive, aluminum cable ducts that comply with standards. They are certified by VDE and can be mounted on profiles with dimensions of 40 mm and 45 mm. Clip-on mounting bases ensure both electrical isolation of the duct and frame and fast installation that does not require machining. Users can lay wires and tubing in a safe and protected manner with the appropriate curve elements – even in the transition area. All components have been adapted to the Rexroth Basic Mechanic Elements kit and can be combined with its components.

Rexroth takes users on a digital journey of Linear Motion Technology

Instead of the previously strictly separate work steps in the dimensioning, configuration, start-up, actual use and diagnosis of Linear Motion Systems, Bosch Rexroth shows with a trade fair exhibit as a study the advantages of a continuous digital journey through the entire life cycle. Here, software tools and all individual pieces of information accompany the components and systems of Linear Motion Technology. At the Automatica 2018 trade fair, Bosch Rexroth is using a multi-axis system with its own intelligence as an example to present the entire range of production-ready and close-to-production digital solutions with which design engineers and users can react to changing conditions more quickly and flexibly than ever before.
