Rexroth offers free Fit4Ergonomics app

The Rexroth Fit4Ergonomics app

It's easy to optimize the ergonomics of workstations: download the Rexroth Fit4Ergonomics app, fill out the checklist, start the analysis and see tips for improvement.

Test, measure and ergonomically optimize workstations quickly, simply and interactively via smartphone using a wide range of information

  • A checklist with 15 steps analyses the workstation
  • Lighting and noise emissions are directly measurable
  • Helpful tips and quick access to the know how portal

Ergonomically designed workstations are the ultimate basis for tireless, error-free working, thereby increasing the productivity of employees. As a production technology specialist, Rexroth now offers the Fit4Ergonomics app free to download. The highlight is a checklist with which users can analyze their workstation, directly measure lighting and noise, and see customized suggestions for improvement. A comprehensive know how portal on the topic of ergonomics offers additional information and links.

Download the app, open the checklist and answer the questions: it's that easy to check the ergonomics of a workstation. Rexroth knows the pitfalls of manual workstations and has therefore come up with an easy-to-use app. It is divided into four areas: ErgoCheck, Know How, On Site Analysis and Project. The latest ergonomic standards form the basis for the 15-point checklist analysis, which asks about relevant facts pertaining to the workstation, ranging from working height and legroom to the arrangement of work materials. The system provides an interactive to-do list with suggestions for optimization. In the "On Site Analysis" section, users can take a photo of the current production situation, enter the dimensions of their workstation and begin optimization immediately. Even lighting and noise at the workstation can be measured via smartphone. For this, access to the camera, microphone and photos/media is required. All results can be saved, managed, emailed and printed under "Project". Anyone who would like to learn the basics of ergonomics can find manufacturer-neutral information and notes on the rules of ergonomic workstation design at Bosch Rexroth in the "Know How" section.

The app is suitable for smartphones with IOS from version 8.0 and Android from version 4.2 and can be used offline.

Fit4Ergonomics can be downloaded via the QR code on the Rexroth website www.boschrexroth.com/ergonomics and is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Rexroth takes users on a digital journey of Linear Motion Technology

Instead of the previously strictly separate work steps in the dimensioning, configuration, start-up, actual use and diagnosis of Linear Motion Systems, Bosch Rexroth shows with a trade fair exhibit as a study the advantages of a continuous digital journey through the entire life cycle. Here, software tools and all individual pieces of information accompany the components and systems of Linear Motion Technology. At the Automatica 2018 trade fair, Bosch Rexroth is using a multi-axis system with its own intelligence as an example to present the entire range of production-ready and close-to-production digital solutions with which design engineers and users can react to changing conditions more quickly and flexibly than ever before.
