Optimized transport of heavy workpieces

The new heavy-duty components of the TS 2plus transfer system

The new heavy-duty components of the TS 2plus transfer system make the all-rounder even more versatile.

Rexroth transfer system TS 2plus expanded with heavy-duty components

  • Complete, consistent system for heavy-duty applications
  • Loads of up to max. 240 kg workpiece pallet total weight
  • Robust solution guarantees high reliability

Bosch Rexroth now offers a consistently applicable transfer system up to 240 kg workpiece pallet total weight with new heavy-duty components for the TS 2plus, which convinces with its versatility and flexibility. The design and material selection of the new robust components guarantee high reliability with continuous loads of up to 200 kilograms per meter.

Bosch Rexroth is optimizing and expanding the TS 2plus transfer system with new heavy-duty components to transport heavy workpieces in small spaces. Therefore the system can now be used for continuous loads of max. two kilograms per centimeter and allows for the use of workpiece pallets up to 1200 x 1200 mm large.

The significantly higher maximum load-carrying capacity of the TS 2plus—previously 100 kg, now 240 kg per workpiece pallet—is based on completely new heavy-duty components. For this, Bosch Rexroth specialists developed reinforced workpiece pallets, lift transverse units for moving workpiece pallets between longitudinal and transverse sections, lift rotate units to turn the workpiece at a 90° or 180° angle, as well as positioning units and stop gates. In addition to these new modules, the special technical features of the TS 2plus support the transport of heavy loads. Therefore, targeted steel parts are used instead of plastic in critical areas; reinforced section profiles increase the section loading; and also the highly wear-resistant stainless steel slide rails combined with robust accumulation roller chains are specifically designed for tough continuous use in harsh manufacturing environments.

These optimization measures and the new components are the basis that means that users can implement the TS 2plus transfer system with versatility and flexibility. With workpiece pallets of 160 x 160 mm to 1200 x 1200 mm, the consistent transport of individual components up to large assemblies or finished parts is guaranteed. In addition, as an internationally present company with production facilities on three continents, Bosch Rexroth offers a complete range of products with the same global industry standard. Especially energy-efficient 3-phase motors are certified for the TS 2plus in accordance with CE, cURus and CCC, and work with common global voltages so that they can be implemented in all major industrial countries.

The versatile transfer system is reliable even under special conditions, such as in ESD environments or in clean room and dry room applications, and is thus suitable for a variety of sectors, from the automotive industry, to electronics and electrical technology, through to medical technology and the optical industry.

Economical, precise, safe, and energy efficient: drive and control technology from Bosch Rexroth moves machines and systems of any size. Rexroth takes users on a digital journey of Linear Motion Technology

Instead of the previously strictly separate work steps in the dimensioning, configuration, start-up, actual use and diagnosis of Linear Motion Systems, Bosch Rexroth shows with a trade fair exhibit as a study the advantages of a continuous digital journey through the entire life cycle. Here, software tools and all individual pieces of information accompany the components and systems of Linear Motion Technology. At the Automatica 2018 trade fair, Bosch Rexroth is using a multi-axis system with its own intelligence as an example to present the entire range of production-ready and close-to-production digital solutions with which design engineers and users can react to changing conditions more quickly and flexibly than ever before.
