Stage control technology with sensitivity

Stage control system SYB

Stage control system SYB SCIV with multi-touch screen

New control desk from Rexroth with multi-touch screen

Browsing, zooming and scrolling with two fingers on a display: Smartphones and tablet PCs simplify the operation of complex technology all over the world. Rexroth now transfers this comfort to stage technology. The multi-touch screen of the new operator panel SCIV substitutes the previously common keys for entries, thus simplifying operation. Leap Motion supplements the operation by means of joysticks and start buttons. Moreover, additional software functions in the stage control system SYB 3.0 increase the safety and availability of stage equipment.

With the new control panel SCIV from Rexroth, stage technicians can call menus, just like with terminals used privately, with the known gestures such as swiping and touching and can enter changes directly on the display. In this way, the stage technician can, for example, get all the important information on the entire understage and overhead machinery as well as scene changes already programmed. The intuitive operation using the multi-touch display, which is known from private life, cuts training expenses for operators.

In contrast to this, movements are still performed and stopped via mechanical control elements that comply with safety integrity level SIL 3 according to DIN EN 61508. Safety precautions prevent the operator from starting drives unintentionally or making other incorrect entries.

A collision assistant integrated in control system SYB 3.0 already prevents hazardous operational states when scene changes are being programmed. This software function increases safety additionally. Moreover, further, new software functions in Rexroth stage control technology allow - with associated access rights - diagnostics and remote maintenance also via common smartphones and tablet PCs. In this way, stage technicians can call up information on the current state of stage control technology independently of their current location and the control panels.

The control panel with high-quality aluminum housing works noiseless, because it does without an active fan. Despite the 21.5 inch large display, the desk is extremely compact and can therefore be used everywhere. The control device can also be fitted with an integrated, second display to carry out complex task in an even more clearly structured manner.
