Marginal Column

Bosch ConnectedWorld is the annual conference on the Internet of Things (IoT) and will take place March 9 and 10, 2016 in Berlin. Executives, thought leaders, and expert speakers share their best practices and case studies around IoT-empowered products, services, and solutions. They will provide examples about how those solutions have:

  • Improved the way of running their businesses,
  • Brought new business models and revenue channels to life,
  • Streamlined and automated their processes, or
  • Made the lives of their customers, citizens, or employees safer, easier, or more comfortable.

Industry 4.0 stakeholders, present and future, will come together at the Bosch ConnectedExperience on March 8/9 in Berlin for the Hack Challenge "Connected Manufacturing". Coders, cyberneticists and test engineers will break new ground here with Open Core Engineering – for more efficient engineering as well as for actively shaping the Internet of Things and Services (IoT).

Demo kit ready? Let's go!

It only takes a couple of examples before the participants are ready to start their own projects – in their familiar development environment. These could be LabVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink or CATIA and Solidwork, where they use high-level languages such as Java or C++ and incorporate websockets, smart devices and cloud services such as Google Translate or Oracle Stream Explorer.

Playful approach, concrete output!

Accompanied by Rexroth experts and Hack partners like Mathworks , National Instruments and Oracle the attendees have the opportunity to create really exciting use cases in three areas: Internet of Things, control systems and test automation. The open interface technology Open Core Interface acts as the connecting element for direct access to the control and drive level.
