    The compact control platform IndraControl XM combines the high real time capability of the Sercos automation bus and the flexibility of the I/O family IndraControl S20 to a modular and complete automation system.


Easy configuration, high-performance data processing

The IndraControl XM embedded control hardware is available for a variety of motion-logic applications. Local connection of the modules of the new
IndraControl S20 I/O series expands the control system flexibly for high-performance process linkage. Decentralized I/O, drives and additional system machinery are connected via Sercos as standard. Additional Ethernet protocols through optional extension modules extend the possibilities of integration. The service-friendly and robust design reduces the maintenance and allows the use in many different applications.

    IoT Gateway – Get ready for Industry 4.0!

    The IoT Gateway from Rexroth makes it easy to connect to Industry 4.0 environments: Network new and existing machines cost efficiently and optimize production processes and product quality.

    The IoT Gateway software is run on the IndraControl XM embedded control hardware. It meets high real-time requirements and can be expanded flexibly into a complete automation system with the scalable I/O system IndraControl S20. The IoT Gateway hardware therefore meets the industrial requirements for an i4.0 upgrade of existing systems.

    The precisely coordinated combination of control hardware and software for implementing IT applications collects sensor and process data, transmits it to MES, cloud applications or local machine state monitoring systems, for example, and enables process data analysis.

    The number of sensors per machine will increase significantly in future in order to regulate processes more precisely, for example, or to monitor machine availability more precisely. These requirements are already fulfilled by IndraControl XM, enabling demanding regulations to be met.

    Robust design for extreme conditions


    The IndraControl XM embedded control with robust enclosure design is suitable for an extended temperature range. It is significantly more resistant to mechanical stresses and can withstand vibration loads up to 5 g and shocks up to 30 g.

    The IndraControl XM22 is currently the most high-performance variant and is certified for use in marine applications and in areas at risk from explosion.

    The safety module of the extension module series IndraControl XFE simply expands the IndraControl XM standard control hardware into the SafeLogic safety controller. The safety CPU guarantees two-channel evaluation of the safety application.

    The safety modules of the IndraControl S20 modular I/O component range also enable secure communication – flexibly with the support of CIP Safety on Sercos, or PROFIsafe on PROFINET and PROFIBUS.

    The safe modules can be freely combined with standard modules and offer the same advantages of simple commissioning, high robustness and short cycle times.

    The IndraControl S20 safety modules and the safety extension module are certified according to SIL 3 (EN 61508), SILCL 3 (EN 62061) and category 4 / PL e (EN ISO 13849-1).
