Theaters are packed with the latest in technology. But how does modern stage technology actually work? Here’s a look behind the scenes.

 
 

Hydraulic and electric drive technologies add motion to the world’s stages. The equipment in the upper machinery drops sets from above while machinery below stage changes stage levels in a flash. In another regard, that equipment ensures the safety of both the audience and the staff.
