Reversible fan motor in open circuit

Today’s combustion engines are running in a closely limited temperature range in mobile working machines. The engines reach already at low speed their optimal operating point. Prerequisite is the installation of an efficient and space-saving cooling circuit. This saves energy and enables the compliance with mandatory emission values (e.g. TIER 4 final). When used in construction machinery, agricultural and forestry machinery, the challenge is to provide the required cooling performance also under difficult operating conditions and if mud or dust occur. Bosch Rexroth delivers with the Rexroth axial piston variable motor A10VER the suitable fan motor: high efficiency, short installation length and integrated reversing function to clean the cooler.

Compliance with emission regulations
The main function of the Rexroth axial piston variable motor A10VER is to drive the fan in order to achieve a best possible temperature of the combustion engine in mobile working machines. This function is an important building block to comply with legal emission guidelines and for energy saving.

Integrated reversing function for cooler cleaning
Dust, mud and other pollution can impair the functionality when using a conventional cooling circuit. This limitation can be avoided through the integrated reversing function of the Rexroth axial piston variable motor A10VER. If necessary, the controller changes the direction of rotation of the Rexroth A10VER. The deposited dirt particles will be blown off from the cooler and engine compartment. Through this, the cooler remains its complete productivity and the combustion engine runs also under difficult operation conditions with the requested temperature.

 

Avoidance of cost-intensive additional components
In conventional hydrostatic fan drives it is necessary to implement an additional valve to realize the reversing function. When using the Rexroth A10VER, the additional cost-intensive reversing valve and required piping are superfluous. This results in lower flow losses which increase the efficiency of the hydrostatic fan drive. For the manufacturer of mobile working machines this means lower product and installation costs as well as less space requirements and more flexibility in positioning of the hydraulics.

Short installation length – best in class
In many mobile working machines (e.g. excavators) especially the available axial space for the arrangement of the combustion engine, fan system, working hydraulics and hydraulics for travel drive is very tight. Therefore, the compact design of hydraulic components is an important requirement. The Rexroth axial piston variable motor A10VER meets this demand with its very short overall length by means of the standard plug-in flange and compact rotary group. The Rexroth A10VER with the sizes 30 cm³, 37 cm³ and 45 cm³ is up to 16 percent shorter than similar competitive products.

Compatibility for hydrostatic fan drives
The Rexroth A10VER series 52 is compatible with the Rexroth axial piston variable pumps A1VO and A10VO, the BODAS controller RC series 30 and the Rexroth software AFC30. This enables the implementation of a fuel-efficient and space-saving hydrostatic fan drive.
