Form, Fit and Better Function: Cavity interchange counterbalance cartridges

Form, Fit and Better Function: Cavity interchange counterbalance cartridges

RS series counterbalance cartridges fit industry standard load holding cavities with pressure adjustment in a style familiar to users and OEM’s.

RS series counterbalance cartridges fit common load holding cavities and provide equivalent adjustment styles

Rexroth’s expanding line of RS series counterbalance cartridges show excellent load-holding performance on a platform which minimizes the cost of changing suppliers. The demand for a high-performance, cavity interchange counterbalance product, with adjustment mechanism typical for the market, is increasingly filled by Rexroth counterbalance cartridges.

Leak-free load holding, stability, repeatability, and durability are the hallmarks of counterbalance performance and value. The RS series of counterbalance cartridges from Rexroth are now meeting the challenges of the market every day. Available in industry standard cavities such as T11A, T2A, T17A and T19A, as well as 4-ported versions, the cartridges provide reliable solutions to flows of 105 gpm at working pressures up to 6000 psi. Now, in order to minimize obstacles for competitive replacement, the RS series features an adjustment mechanism with clockwise rotation for decrease of the pressure setting.

Through expansion of pilot ratios and setting options, and with unique developments in non-linear flow gain, Rexroth continues to grow its popular interchange cavity counterbalance product line. Built on over 40 years of load-holding experience, the valves meet and surpass the key criteria for top-performing load-holding cartridges: smooth opening and closing, stable operation across rated flows and pressures, and maintaining rock-solid actuator positioning.

The counterbalance range is complemented by a line of pilot-operated check valves in interchange cavities giving manufacturers a fundamental value option for their load-holding needs. Housings for surface or line mounting of Rexroth cartridges are also available in aluminum or ductile iron, permitting easy installation in both cylinder and motor applications.
