OverviewExpanded EcoSafe range from Bosch Rexroth sets new standards for modular safety fences and enclosures
Bosch Rexroth has revised the EcoSafe range of modular components for protective fences and enclosures, thus optimizing cost-effectiveness, flexibility and equipment safety. Complementary frame profiles, quick-to-assemble direct panels and connectors reduce the assembly work involved so that new installations, conversion projects and extensions can be carried out more quickly. The free MTpro planning software speeds up planning with numerous design aids, automatically generated parts lists and the option of direct ordering from the Rexroth online shop.
Variable production requires standard-compliant safety devices in the production environment that can be put in place and altered quickly, cost-effectively and flexibly. The expanded EcoSafe range from Bosch Rexroth takes into account these complex requirements and is compatible not only with the previous range but also with the Rexroth modular aluminum profile system. A slim yet stable aluminum frame profile with the dimensions 22.5 x 45 mm serves as the new basic component.
Quick installation with prefabricated direct panels
With the new frame profile, assembly teams can make quick progress, especially when putting up linear safety fences. The EcoSafe range includes not only suspended panels but also “direct panels” which allow quick assembly. They are available pre-assembled from stock and can be erected very quickly. Two neighboring direct panels are connected at the bottom via the new universal foot and at the top via a robust fixing cap and secured with just a few screws in accordance with the relevant standards.
The new universal foot can accommodate two safety frame profiles (22.5 x 45 mm) or a standard profile (45 x 45 mm) and is fixed to the floor using two anchor bolts with no need for drilling, once again in accordance with the standards. This reduces the time taken by around 60 percent. For non-linear arrangements, the base offers a type of hinge function in order to set the angle between the protective grilles.
Leading equipment safety
Bosch Rexroth has also optimized stability and equipment safety. All protective grilles have welded wires and are fixed in the frame profile with the help of a toothed groove. As a result, the grilles can absorb much more energy than the 115 joules stipulated in the standards. Thanks to verified performance data, there is no need to check the load bearing capacity separately. The new steel suspension brackets increase the stability of the safety fences with suspended panels.
Black protective grilles and individual dimensions
For a flicker-free view inside the protected area, the improved EcoSafe protective grille is optionally available in black. The continuous ground clearance of 150 mm ensures the maximum value of 180 mm required by the standard, even on uneven ground.
With the EcoSafe standard panels, guards designs of various sizes can be put up quickly and easily. The standard frame height available from stock is 2,000 mm including ground clearance. This covers the majority of applications. The standard widths are 500, 750, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 mm.
Safety fences in custom sizes can also be ordered using configurable field numbers. In the case of special configurations, the frame height can be between 400 and 2,500 mm and the width between 250 and 2,500 mm. Any ground clearance from 100 to 250 mm is possible. With suspended panels, the floor distance depends on the placement of the connectors.
Quick planning and digital engineering
With the free MTpro engineering software and the MTpro Online Designer which can be used anywhere, safety fences and other safety systems can be planned, calculated and documented in just a few steps. Automatic order list generation, the simple exchanging or printing of layout data and direct transfer to the Rexroth Online Shop or a partner company all help to save time during the design process.
