Bosch Rexroth presents its expanded HYDROTRAC GMR 3000 gearbox series for recycling applications at IFAT

For recycling plants, Bosch Rexroth offers users the HYDROTRAC GMR 3000 gearbox series, suitable for both mobile and stationary applications. It combines the proven advantages of Rexroth standard gearboxes with further developments that the company has designed specifically for the requirements of high-performance shredders. With the new HYDROTRAC GMR 3360 double-tower gearbox, the company now also offers a particularly compact solution for use in shredders with double shafts.
A classic task in recycling is the shredding of components. Shredders used for this purpose have to process a wide variety of materials. They often operate under partial loads, but must also be able to cope with load peaks and safely handle blockage situations. Stationary systems in particular are often in operation around the clock and under high dust loads, which requires maximum reliability and durability.
To meet these requirements, Bosch Rexroth has developed the robust HYDROTRAC GMR 3000 gearbox series based on its proven standard gear units. Designed for mobile and stationary applications, it can be used for both hydrostatically and electrically driven shredder shafts. With output torque demands from 60 to 450 Nm, it is suitable for use in a wide variety of shredding machines. All nominal sizes offer flexible output options, either via a ring gear or an output shaft, and can be combined with the extensive Rexroth motor portfolio.
Overload protection in the machine's hydraulic system is provided by a combination of specially developed valve technology and an attached Rexroth hydraulic motor. For electrically driven shredder shafts, an optional overload module, in which the clutch is actuated and monitored by the Rexroth RC5-6/40 controller, can provide additional protection for the machine and gearbox against total failure in the event of blockages.
Double-tower gearbox for double shaft shredders
The newly developed GMR 3360 double tower gearbox now offers users a particularly compact solution for shredders with two shafts. The high power density is achieved for the torque range from 110 to 330 kNm in standard market axis distances and is also available with synchronization as an option.
With the HYDROTRAC GFT series, Bosch Rexroth also offers travel drive solutions for mobile recycling solutions with undercarriages such as crushers and shredders.
